Sugar on the Bee/Crack Whip and Pay

Sandra Crook

Thank you, Sandra Crook, for the beautiful photograph and thank you to Rochelle Wisoff-Fields for Friday Fictioneers

They held the film premiere after party in this beautiful place in Beziers, France. A huge room of recognizable faces.

But I won the heart of a pretty little stranger who invited me into her room and into her bed.

Can you believe it? She charged me a thousand bucks!

I don’t carry cash. I told her to get lost.

I told her I am the creator of the book that made the picture. “Yeah,” she said “and I’m Calamity Jane”. She whipped a pistol from her purse and aimed it at my brand new veneers.

Luckily she took plastic.

      1. Ha ha. I once read an article in Cosmopolitan by a girl who accidentally got into this particular profession. She was doing some kind of hostessing thing at a motor show, a gentleman came back to her room and when she woke up he’d left two hundred pounds on the night table.

  1. Great story, Jilly. I would like to think that since he’s a writer embroiled in this movie scene, that he was an innocent being fleeced by the system, and she is clearly leading him away. He sounds like a lamb being fleeced by the wolf.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena

  2. That was so much fun, Jilly. Nothing I like more than bursting out laughing at the end of such a story! Served him right…
